New NHANES Data

New data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES, May 2008)

The prevalence of obesity may have reached a plateau in children and adolescents, according to new NHANES data. Results showed no significant changes in BMI for this population between 2003 to 2004 and 2005 to 2006 and no significant trend for high BMI from 1999 to 2006. RWJF released a statement in response to these findings.
