Active Living Research and Healthy Eating Research 2009 Rapid-Response Round 2 Grants
This joint CFP of RWJF's Active Living Research and Healthy Eating Research programs supported time-sensitive, opportunistic studies to evaluate changes in policies or environments with the potential to reach children who are at highest risk for obesity. Research studies could focus on one or both sides of the energy balance equation - on physical activity (including sedentary behavior), healthy eating or both.
Healthy Eating Research Round 4
Round 4 focused on policy and environmental strategies in four areas: food pricing and economic approaches; food and beverage marketing; improving access to healthy foods in low-income communities; and evaluations of other promising food-related policy and environmental strategies in settings where children and their families make food choices.
Healthy Eating Research 2009 New Connections
This CFP was a collaboration between RWJF's Healthy Eating Research and New Connections programs. New Connections grants are for early-career investigators from historically disadvantaged and underrepresented communities. Special Solicitation Round 2 was parallel in study topics to the Healthy Eating Research Round 4 call for proposals, focusing on policy and environmental strategies in four areas: food pricing and economic approaches; food and beverage marketing; improving access to healthy foods in low-income communities; and evaluations of other promising food-related policy and environmental strategies in settings where children and their families make food choices.
